Day 6/30: Write a short story entirely in dialogue.

"I suppose I should've said goodbye, yeah?"

"............"

"I'll admit it. I was a coward. Instead of staying with you until the end, I left, so the last image I had of you was a good one. You were healthy. Beautiful. Full of life."

"..........."

"The Lily I saw through photos was emaciated. Sick. Bald. Bedridden. Crap, I should've stayed, I should've stayed, I should've stayed."

"........."

"I never got to tell you how much you meant to the world. People set up a scholarship in your honor, did you know that? You're probably smiling down on it now, knowing that the funds you worked so hard for will help someone else in the end."

"........."

"Your mother is still the strongest person I've ever met. She made your memorial a celebration. There was cake and ice cream and everything you loved before you got sick."

"......."

"You're loved, Lily. So, so, so incredibly loved."

"........"

"I hope you'll forgive me for not being a better father."
